What Is a Great Way to Motivate Others? How About Yourself

Motivating people can be very difficult, and motivating yourself can be even more so, but there is always a way! Everyone needs to be motivated to do something or other every day. We need to be motivated to go to work, to eat healthy, to go walking, to meet people, or for countless other reasons. What are some ways that you can think of to motivate yourself or others?

Everyone is different, their needs are different and their wants are different, so I think that there is not a single answer to this question. As for me, I love to do new and exciting things, even if they make me feel a little bit timid or uncomfortable because it’s a new experience. Doing even small things that make me have to think a little differently motivates me. Taking a different train line to work (and no cheating by using Google Maps!), walking down a different street, eating somewhere brand new after work, listening to a genre of music that you don’t know too well. All of these are small things, but a combination of these can lead to a brand new experience, a different kind of day, or at the least revitalize your mind a little!

Everyone is different, so maybe these ways won’t work for you, but when I need a quick, immediate boost in motivation, this is how I do it. Listen to music in a different genre or language! Go to that coffee shop that you always pass by but never enter, or maybe just a change of scenery will do the trick! There’s always a way, just find what works for you and go for it.
